Decisions seem to be the only thing holding me up getting anything done with this blog. I finally decided that what I really wanted to know about was an iPhone.
Right now, I’m watching a 30 minute video online about it.
I think what intrigues me the most is that I hear when you’re listening to a song on the radio in the car, your iPhone can get the info on the song, save it, and when you go home, you can get the song from iTunes. Given my inability to remember any band or song name, I would love this. So, yes, I need to spend a few hundred dollars so I can hear a song whenever I want to hear it.
My biggest fear in getting an iPhone is that I am clumsy and I would hate to spend that much money on something I will probably drop two to three times a day.
The other intriguing thing about iPhones is that you can turn it into a light saber.
I worry about the tapping, given my impatience. The one time I’ve played around with one I found myself very frustrated with the tapping not being picked up or me accidentally tapping the wrong thing.
So, watching the video, it looks easy enough to change between phone calls, something I have yet to master on my simple little LG phone.
Love the voice mail feature. You can see who has left you messages and listen to them in any order. Nice.
The iPhone guy likes Jack Johnson.
I’m not sure I get the big draw on album cover art. But it’s a feature.
I can’t imagine watching an entire movie on this thing.
OK, now we’re onto the Wi-Fi music part. It could be dangerous for me if every time I had a whim to buy a song I could do it that easily. Perhaps having to remember the name and physically be at my computer is a better option.
The photo feature is nice. I wonder though if this would make me even more less likely to print out pictures.
On to the Internet section: I don’t know how well I would do with flicking and tapping.
I’m waiting to learn how you can use facebook on it.
So, there’s a part on iPhone’s spell check. He’s writing "delicious pizza" and thinks he’s more likely to misspell pizza, not delicious.
I need the calendar feature.
The GPS feature is pretty neat. We have a navigation system in the car, but if you are driving it won’t let you use it. Obviously, the driver shouldn’t be using it, but the passenger can’t either. So unless you want to pull over on a highway, it’s pretty useless if you’re lost or just trying to find a place that has food.
You can find a restaurant on the map feature and get directions there from where you are. AND it gives you a sense of traffic. I know, I know, that's in the commercial, but still, it's pretty neat.
School bus is here; please excuse me for a moment.
The App Store: Do I really need to be playing games on my cell phone? Unless of course I can get into my kids’ webkinz accounts. Now that would be nifty.
I think I would get carried away in the App Store.
OK, I need to go make my list of reasons why I need an iPhone.

I have to say that I love my iPhone! It's come in handy many times to be able to look something up while on the go, and I've found that I use my computer at home a lot less. However, it's addicting and I feel "connected, but hassled" a lot more often.
